We are a non-profit organisation and proceeds of all our concerts are donated to charity. Soloists, if not members of the choir, are local amateurs and semi-professionals who have kindly given their services free.

 

But having very little in the way of funds means that budgeting our ‘big’ concert in April is not easy. Although website, programme and poster design is done by some of our members on their home computers, we have to guarantee payment for an orchestra, hire of a church and hall and, depending on the works performed, hire of music.

 

So far, ticket sales have been sufficient to cover these costs but, when our financial commitments are made, we are not in a position to guarantee that we will always have a big enough audience to cover them. We rely on the generous donations of local businesses, organisations and individuals. In return, their names are published in the concert programme and here on our website.
